Providing a "safe space to learn, grow, inspire, and be inspired". The host aims to explore everything from current events and law to wellness, sex, love, and entrepreneurship.
The show is hosted by Brandon J. Wallace, Esq, (The "captain" of the voyage). He is a transactional lawyer and general practitioner licensed in Washington, D.C.. His professional inspiration dates back to a "Kid's Court" established by his third-grade teacher, which sparked his lifelong dream of practicing law.
The title was a collaborative effort involving Brandon’s close friends Cheyenne Garden and Andrea Lofton. The term "Lawyerish" represents a shift in the profession—moving away from the traditional, "untouchable" reputation of lawyers to make the law accessible and relevant to everyday people.
No. Any discussion of legal matters, concepts, or theories on the show is strictly hypothetical. It is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only and is not a replacement for sound and zealous legal counsel from a licensed attorney.
The podcast is powered by Apex Group, a boutique consulting firm where "aptitude meets excellence". Brandon uses the acronym ELECTRIC to define his practice areas: Entertainment, Landlord-tenant, Entity formation, Contracts, Trademarks, Real estate, In-house counsel, and Copyright.
