Brandon J. Wallace, Esq. is a transactional lawyer and general practitioner licensed in Washington, D.C., and the founder and chief strategist of Apex Group, the boutique consulting firm behind Lawyer-ish. His practice areas run under an acronym he built himself, ELECTRIC: Entertainment, Landlord-tenant, Entity formation, Contracts, Trademarks, Real estate, In-house counsel, and Copyright.
Before founding Apex Group, Brandon served as legislative counsel for the D.C. Council's Committee on Business and Economic Development, work that sat squarely at the intersection of policy and everyday people's lives. He's a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, where he advocated as a Justice Scholar and served as president of the Student Bar Association, and a proud Howard University alum with a B.A. in Communications and Culture.

Brandon's path to the law started small, in a "Kid's Court" his third-grade teacher built in the back of a classroom, long before "Esq." was ever attached to his name. That early spark grew into a career spent making the law less intimidating and more useful for the people who actually need it.
Lawyer-ish grew out of the same instinct. The name itself came together with two of Brandon's closest friends, Cheyenne Garden and Andrea Lofton — a deliberate move away from the stiff, "untouchable" reputation lawyers are known for, toward something that sounds like the people it's for.
The show is Brandon's answer to a simple question: what if the law, and all the life stuff that surrounds it, could be talked about honestly? Lawyer-ish is a safe space to learn, grow, inspire, and be inspired, built on the belief that real success is a formula for wellness: challenging the mind, disciplining the body, and nourishing the soul. Every guest who sits down at the round table, attorneys, judges, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, is there for the same reason: to make room for the truth in public.
